PMW-F5 can be upgraded to PMW-F55’s functions and specifications*

The CBK-55UK upgrade kit enables the PMW-F5 CineAlta camera to be upgraded to the full functionality of the PMW-F55.These include F55′s 4K sensor with Frame Image Scan (eliminating jello effect and flash band) functionality, XAVC 4K and XAVC QFHD internal recordings, and 4K output via SDI and HDMI.The FZ Mount ring is also upgraded from black to silver.
* Camera modification needs to be undertaken by a Sony Service Centre.

The Upgrade includes F55′s 4K sensor, supporting Frame Image Scan technology to eliminate jello effects and flash band artefacts and colour filters for capturing even more colours than print film.XAVC 4K and XAVC QFHD internal recording, simultaneous recording of XAVC 4K and HD resolution on one SxS Pro+ card at the same time, 4K output via SDI and HDMI and the usage of the 4K Camera adapter CA-4000 are also supported after the upgrade.
